Holy Trinity Primary Granville

Term 2 Week 10 - 3rd July 2020

From the Leadership Team

Philip Mahony | Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we come to the end of a very unusual term, from being mainly online learning, through to a couple of days a week and then back to full attendance, I want to thank the parents for their contribution and support, to the teachers for the extraordinary effort and planning and especially to the students of HTG for their constant willingness  learn, even in a disruptive environment. Hopefully next term will be more settled while we continue to follow health directions regarding social-distancing and limits of adults allowed in the school.

Today we say farewell to Miss Claudette Loulach and thank her for her caring contribution to Holy Trinity and wish her all God's blessing as she gets married soon. Mrs Amanda Perrin will be teaching Yr 3 next term and we welcome Mrs Rachel Robertson, who will be teaching on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday's starting in term 3.

esafety

With the increase use of technology and use of devices at home, I strongly recommend that parents look at the resources available on the Australian Government esafety website for parents - " esafety.gov.au "

Thank You

A big thank you to Nathan Brown from the Parramatta Eels and to Inter-Sport Shoe Store in Auburn for the donation of sport shoes to 5 students at Holy Trinity.

Parent - Teacher Interviews

Hopefully you have had the chance to discuss your child's progress with their class teacher during this week and know the next steps your child needs to work towards. Please don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher during term 3 and 4 if you have any concerns or just need an update.

Volunteering At Holy Trinity

REMINDER:  If you would like to volunteer at school, you will need to complete a new CEDP Building Child Safe Communities form and online training module. Please see the attached letter and helpsheet.

Jason Fisher | Assistant Principal

As we come to the end of Term 3 it is a great time to reflect on a very unique term.

We started off with remote learning and really not knowing how long we would be working remotely. Then we moved to the students coming back a day a week. In week 5 we were close to normal with the students returning full time with restrictions. Since then we have been close to normal business.

A huge congratulations to all the students for adapting to the changes that COVID - 19 brought. It really showed that the students see them themselves as a learner as they developed the skills to work online.

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers for supporting the children during remote learning and for your support of the school during the uncertain time we experienced. We were definitely ‘all in it together’.

Wishing the whole Holy Trinity community a restful holiday.

New Religious Education Curriculum

The teachers have been planning learning experiences for the students to trial next term. This is a very exciting time for our Diocese as it is the first time the Religious Education has been renewed in over 20 years. We pray that this new learning endeavour will help our students build a strong relationship with Jesus.

Notice required before moving students from school

10 school weeks in writing must be given to the principal before removal of a student or a full term’s fees will be payable.
