Student Reports and 3 Way Conversations

The written reports will be published on Friday 24th June and available for parents to access through PAM after 4pm.  The reports are designed to provide a comprehensive description of your child’s academic progress against the year level standards, their social emotional learning, as well as their work habits.

It is important for parents to understand that your child is expected to meet a different and more advanced year level standard each year.  While they may have successfully reached the previous year's standard, they may not yet be at standard for the current year.  This does not mean they have regressed.  It just means the degree of difficulty has increased and they are still working towards achieving it.

This year, due to the short 9 week term, the 3 Way Learning Conversations with your child and their teacher will take place in the first week of term 3 - July 13 & 14 from 2.30pm until 6.00pm.  Parents will be prompted to book their appointments through PAM.  These Conversations are an opportunity for your child to tell you about their learning successes and goals.

Parents who have had a PSG at the end of term 2 will not be required to make an appointment for a 3 Way Conversation.

CHICKEN NAMES ANNOUNCED - George Prosser

The new chickens that arrived 3weeks ago have finally been named. After a tight count the names,  Larry Bird , Chicken Joe, Clucky and Clover were chosen. The names are a bit unusual for chickens that are all girls but a name is a name.

Larry Bird is a chicken with a really cool hairstyle and is one of those chickens who doesn't like getting picked up. She is adventurous and has established herself as the ‘leader’ of the group. Larry Bird got 10 votes, which was the highest . Next is Chicken Joe, who is the shyer one. She loves eating, and everytime you walk past, her head is buried in the chicken feeder. She got 5 votes. The 3rd chicken is called Clucky and she is one of two brown chickens and is Clover’s Friend. She is very adventurous and will try to escape if you hold the door open for too long. She has an enormous appetite and will be seen eating little bits of grass that she can scavenge through the cage’s wire. She got 7 votes. And last but not least, is Clover who is a very happy chicken. She enjoys a good scratch and will happily get picked up for one. She can be seen most days having a snooze and being friendly to her cage-mates.

Girls AFL Footy

Congratulations to our winter sports Year 5 / 6 girls footy team.

After 3 games the girls had won one game and lost two.  This was not enough for us to make the semi finals for the day.  Our win against Koroit and District Primary School was a dominant effort with Lena Watty leading the way with 2 goals and some excellent defensive work by Ivy Archbold.

St Joseph’s and Warrnambool East Primary School were our other opposition.  We lost to St Joey’s by four goals and only a goal to WEPS.

All of our girls contributed on the day but we did have a number of standout performers and these were, Lena, Ondine, Izzi and Dusty.

Thanks to the parents who came along to support and especially to Emma Watty for bringing large amounts of hot chips, Snakes Alive, and tomato sauce!  A big thanks also to Georgina Dumesny for her assistance all day encouraging and supporting our girls.
