Principal's Report - Term 4 - Week 7

Planning for 2023

At this time of year, schools begin planning classes and teaching staff for the following year. Last week, a note was  sent home to families  requesting that you let us know your children will NOT be returning to Rydalmere Public School in 2023.

If your children will be leaving our school, and you have not yet responded, please contact the office this week.

Remembrance Day

On Friday 11th November our school leaders attended the Remembrance Day service held in Prince Alfred Square Parramatta.  They had the opportunity to pay their respects by laying a wreath in memory of all the veterans who served in the war.

I would like to thank our leaders for representing our school at the event, along with Mrs Green and Mrs Kushturian. who accompanied them to and from the service.

Please look after our gardens

Recently some of our plants have been removed from garden beds and along fence lines without permission.  I ask that all members of our community refrain from removing vegetation from the school grounds.

Absences

If your child is absent, please send through an app notification through our Skoolbag app by 10 am this is to avoid a SMS notification saying your child is not at school.

Thank you.

"The Little Gardeners"

“The Little Gardeners” and Mrs Kushturian (Admin. Manager) have started a small gardening group at lunchtime. We have been working on the top garden area of the playground, which we will be dedicating to Mrs Farrell, SLSO as a remembrance garden.

We would like to thank Bunnings Rydalmere for their very generous donation of flowering plants, garden utensils, gloves, planter tubs and a garden bench. These items have kept the students very busy creating this special garden.

The garden and bench will be a space for the students to reflect and remember Mrs Farrell. If students would like to add to the garden with their own plant, could you please have them come and see Mrs Kushturian in the office. We would love everyone to contribute to this area if they would like to do so.
