White Ribbon Day
On Friday 23 November the school commemorated White Ribbon Day as part of the Breaking the Silence Schools Program. Students and staff were encouraged to wear white and students participated in discussions and activities which focused on respectful relationships. Thank you to Mrs Di Giglio for coordinating this important day.
Stocktake and Home Readers
Mrs Young, with the help of Mrs Edwards, are currently undertaking stocktake in the library. Thank you to all those students who have returned their library books. If your child/children have not already done so, please return these books as soon as possible.
Teachers have been asked to chase up students who have not returned their home readers. Could I please ask that all home readers are returned to your child’s class teacher if you have not already done so. Thank you to those students who have returned them. A reminder letter will be sent home with students who have yet to return their home readers to their class teachers.
Presentation Assemblies
Next Wednesday 12 December we will be holding our annual presentation assemblies to acknowledge and recognise student achievement in all areas of school life. The presentation assembly for Stage 2 and Stage 3 commences promptly at 9:15 am and the Early Stage and Stage 1 commences promptly at 11:30am. Our final assembly for the year will be held on Friday 14 December commencing promptly at 11:30am. Assemblies will be held in the hall. Parents, carers, family and friends are most welcome to attend.
Semester 2 Student Reports
Semester 2 student reports will be sent home on Friday 14 December. These reports are reflective of your child’s/children’s learning journey for the second half of this year. If you would like to discuss your child’s report with their class teacher please contact the office to make an appointment time.
End of Term Dates
Students last day this term will be Wednesday 19 December 2018. The last day for staff will be Thursday 20 December as we have completed our professional learning hours attending after hours training and workshops during the year. The school will be closed on Friday 21 December.
P&C Christmas Stall
Yesterday the P&C held their first Christmas Stall. It was a great success. Thank you to the P&C Executive team and helpers for their support of our school.
Early Stage 1 and Opportunity Class Orientation Sessions
Over the last couple of weeks the school has held its orientation sessions for our 2019 new Early Stage 1 (Kindergarten) and Year 5 Opportunity Class students and families. Thank you to the staff and Mrs Hall and Mrs Jeff for coordinating these sessions. Thank you also to the P&C for organising the morning tea for each session.
