Welcome back to Term 3 and welcome to our new newsletter via Skoolbag.
This is a brief newsletter whilst we are learning how to use this new format. More sections will be added as the term progresses.
We have had a busy start to the term with our children attending Swimming Scheme and this week Stage 3 Camp. Mrs Jeff has been updating me on how the Stage 3 students are going and they are having a fantastic time. They are due back this afternoon. Thank you to Mr Hazell for organising the camp and to Mrs Jeff and the Stage 3 teachers for their organisation and attendance. Thank you also to the office staff and staff here at school for their input in ensuring the camp’s success.
We will be reviewing our camp this year and are seeking your input and thoughts. A survey will shortly been sent out to all our parents to complete. Please take the time to do the survey as we value your input.
Today we celebrate World Teacher’s Day. This day recognises the invaluable work that teachers do in educating children around the world. I would like to thank our teachers for all the work they do in educating our students and our families. Our teachers go above and beyond what is required to ensure our children are not only educated but are also well rounded human beings. They are a wonderful group of professionals to work with. The P&C will be thanking the teachers on your behalf next Friday by putting on a morning tea and presenting teachers with a small gift of appreciation.
This Sunday some of our students will be performing as part of the combined choir at the Celebration Sing Out! at Sydney Town Hall. I am looking forward to watching their performance. I am sure they will do an outstanding job. Thank you to Mrs Husarek and her team for preparing these students to perform.
This week we held some further Maths workshops for parents. These workshops have been very successful and more will be held in the future. Thank you to the parents who attended and to Mrs Husarek and her team for their organisation and presentation of these workshops.

An Intention to Apply letter has been sent home to
parents to indicate to us if your child intends sitting for the test. Please
return reply to the school office if you have not already done so.
The online application website closes on 12 November 2018. Late applications will not be accepted.
