As we count down the final week for Term 3 and begin to get excited about the upcoming holidays, I’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on the engaging learning experiences that have made Term 3 a busy yet memorable time.
We started off the term with a bang, the launch of PBL, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and will finish this week with our Year 5 and 6 students enjoying life at camp. However, throughout the term there were a number of big ticket whole school events, these included the Premiers Spelling Bee, Public Speaking, Book Week inclusive of Book Parade, Education Week inclusive of Book Fair, Grandparents Day and Jump Rope for Heart.
Numerous students have represented Bogangar Public School or participated in a raft of events locally and across the region at events such as, Athletics, Debating, Spelling Bee, Public Speaking, Juraki Surf Festival, North Coast Creative Arts Camp, Byron Writers Festival, Family Centre Transition Program, and Tournament of the Minds, just to name a few. Congratulations to Sunny Hurworth who will be competing at the State Athletics Carnival in the 1500 metres and the twelve students who were selected to dance in the School Spectacular. Both events will be taking place in November.
Our school welcomed author Tristan Banks and the Storyboard Bus into our school as well as the Tweed Family Centre, Tweed Dental Service and continue to have the pleasure of weekly visits from Story Dogs.
Thank you to the students for always contributing to your learning, to teachers for the effort you apply to delivering learning experiences that engage our students and the parents and community who continually support the opportunities we aim to provide.
I hope everyone enjoys a restful, recharging break and we look forward to Term 4 recommencing with students on Monday 14th October 2019.
To assist you in planning for school activities happening in Term 4, a parent calendar is attached and a paper copy will be sent home with each family.
Thank you all for an awesome term.
